Henrietta Paine (Hen)

I first heard about Zhixing Wang in 1989 whilst at art college in Glasgow. Feeling very connected and drawn to this practice, I started learning initially with a Huagong student, before becoming a student of Zhixing’s in 2004.  I was drawn to Huagong primarily as a spiritual practice, but have subsequently experienced the added bonus of the profound benefits to health, both mentally and physically. My main application of Huagong is expressing and exploring the mysteries of the Qi as a visual artist. Inevitably the practice spills out into every aspect of life, bringing balance, wisdom, overall well-being, along with a strong connection to source.
My classes are on Monday evening from 7.30pm – 9pm.
Registration and tech set up starts 7.15pm.

I have been practicing Hua Gong with Zhixing Wang since July 1998. Initially drawn to the practice as a healing form, I now find that the spiritual and artistic-expressive aspects have
become equally important. Joy, beauty, verve, kindness and compassion, everyday optimism and calm composure - these are some of the gifts that the practice brings to me.
